La última visita de Faith No More a nuestro país dejó mucho más que un nuevo sobrenombre para Mario Kreutzberger. En dicha ocasión, Billy Gould, bajista de FNM, ofreció al combo de jazz/hip-hop Cómo Asesinar A Felipes editar su disco Un disparo al centro (Potoco Discos, 2009) por su sello Koolarrow Records.

Pasaron unos meses y dicho anuncio se ha hecho realidad: el primer lanzamiento del año para Koolarow Records será, justamente, Un disparo al centro, el cual se encontrará disponible en formato digital a partir del día 22 de Febrero. La banda vive su mejor momento luego de ganar el Fondart para realizar una gira nacional, además de estar confirmados para la versión criolla de Lollapalooza. Como si esto fuera poco, Marcos Meza, encargado de las teclas en el combo, acaba de anunciar un nuevo trabajo solista, el cual será lanzado el 22 de marzo en la sala SCD de Bellavista.

To kickoff this new site, we proudly announce our very first “digital only” effort, with “Un Disparo al Centro” by Como Asesinar a Felipes, an absolutely incredible band from Chile. Though they utilize elements of hip hop and jazz, it’s their very unique sound that, to our ears, is groundbreaking. Well, that, and the fact that they teamed up with Santiago’s Juvenile National Orchestra for this recording, makes this a rich body of work, and one that we are incredibly excited to be putting out . We will also include a download link on the album release page with translations to some of their lyrics, for those who do not speak Spanish… The album is officially available through most online providers (and via the KA store) as of Feb. 22.
