El líder de The Magnetic Fields, Stephin Merrit, amo y señor de las historias de amor bien contadas, prepara un disco compilatorio con rarezas y  versiones difíciles de encontrar, que incluyen desde piezas perdidas tanto de 69 love songs, como de The Song from Venus, el musical que el cantautor escribió junto a Daniel Handler, hasta una antigua canción rescatada de una edición en cassette.

Obscurities verá la luz el 23 de agosto vía Merge Records. Mientras, en Stereogum además de escuchar “Forever and a day”, un adelanto del compilado, puedes leer las impresiones de Merrit sobre el tracklist, que se detalla a continuación.
